The Red Room Society

A Report for Her Majesty’s Eyes Only

On 7th December 1862, her Majesty commanded an investigation into the membership and activities of that section of the Royal Geographical Society (Having been given a Royal Charter by her Majesty in 1859) known only as The Red Room Society. Although our agents have been unable to gain entrance into the Room itself, we have managed to accumulate what we feel to be a rather complete listing of its members.

This document compiled on 19th October, 1862, and brought up to date regularly since then. Most recent revision dated, 3 June, 1881.
